WHY SHOPPERS HAVE BEEN POPPING BUBBLE WRAP AT INTU VICTORIA CENTRE & INTU BROADMARSH
Shoppers at Nottingham’s intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh have been given the chance to do what everyone loves to do – pop bubble wrap! The centres’ customer services desks are covered in bubble wrap to kick off a series of pop-up events throughout July. Designed to bring customers together and make them smile, the activities have been launched following a recent survey that uncovered the top 50 things that make people happy. Among the list that Brits singled out as things that made them smile, a fifth of respondents named popping bubble wrap as something that made them feel great.
This is part of a campaign taking place in July across all 14 intu centres in the UK, where customers can expect to be delighted with little treats and surprises. Nigel Wheatley, general manager of the two intu centres, intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh, in Nottingham, said: “This July will be full of little moments to make our shoppers smile. We have live music, a Snuggle Sofa to take a break from shopping on and we’ll be joining up with our retailers to offer extra treats too. We also have our very own Joy Tree where customers can write down what makes them happy – there’s been some lovely comments so far.
“It’s easy to forget that sometimes the smallest acts can give us a lift, bring people together and get them talking. It’s set to be a fun month.”
